History of Press 195
The story of Press 195 began with three friends who turned their shared passion for good food into one of Long Island’s favorite casual restaurants.
Since opening in 2002, Press 195 has been all about good food, good vibes, and great company. What started as a small Brooklyn sandwich shop has grown into a local institution with locations in Bayside, Rockville Centre, and now Plainview, New York — serving up creative pressed sandwiches, juicy burgers, fresh salads, signature knish sandwiches, and hand-cut Belgian-style fries, all paired with an ever-changing lineup of craft beers and cocktails.
But we’re more than just your neighborhood sandwich spot.
We’re your go-to for private parties, too — with two dedicated private rooms in Rockville Centre and one in Plainview, we offer welcoming, flexible spaces perfect for celebrations, corporate events, birthdays, and more.
