Commuters can ride the Long Island Rail Road from Bayside to Penn Station in 25 minutes, take express buses to Midtown in less than an hour or ride the city bus to subways in Flushing. Highways also are easily accessible.
"It's very convenient, it's very safe and it's very affordable," said Tammy Blau of Prime Realty.
"I've been living here over 50 years, my daughter goes to the same school I did, and there are a lot of people I grew up with who are in the same situation, still living here with their families. It's just a very safe, warm, comforting area."
